#BEAChild'sHope Initiative
For many families raising autistic children, the greatest challenge isn’t love or commitment, it is access. #BeAChild’sHope Initiative exists to bridge this gap. We believe that no child should be denied the chance to thrive simply because their family lacks the financial capacity. Through this initiative, we provide autistic children with access to quality ABA intervention, giving them the tools to learn, grow, and live with confidence.
Free assessment and diagnosis
Early detection opens the door to the right intervention. Many families in our communities struggle to access proper assessments and diagnosis for their children, often due to financial barriers or lack of awareness. Without this crucial first step, children may miss the opportunity to receive timely support that could transform their development.
Our Free Assessments and Diagnosis programme provides families with access to professional evaluations at no cost. By offering screenings and diagnostic services, we help parents understand their child’s needs, identify autism or related developmental differences early, and connect them to the right intervention pathways such as ABA therapy.
This initiative is about creating possibilities for autistic individuals, they are given the best chance to learn, grow, and thrive.
#KnowTheSigns Initiative
Early intervention changes lives. The #KnowTheSigns Initiative is created to raise awareness about the early signs of autism and the importance of recognising them as soon as possible. Too often, families and caregivers miss these signs or mistake them for something else, losing precious time that could be used to give children the right support.
Through this initiative, we focus on:
-
Educating parents, teachers, and caregivers on the early signs of autism.
-
Encouraging early screening and diagnosis to open doors for timely intervention.
-
Reducing stigma and misinformation so families feel supported, not isolated.
By spreading knowledge and resources, #KnowTheSigns empowers communities to act early, ensuring that autistic children receive the help they need to grow, learn, and thrive. When we know the signs, we can change the story for a child and their family.
Free Parents' Training
Caring for an autistic child can feel overwhelming, especially when families do not have access to the right knowledge or guidance. Our Free Parents Training programme was created to empower parents and caregivers with practical skills, strategies, and confidence to support their children at home and beyond.
The training introduces parents to an understanding of autism and developmental differences while teaching them practical behaviour management techniques. It also equips them with ways to build communication and social skills, showing how ABA principles can be applied in everyday routines. Beyond this, the programme provides emotional support, helping parents care for themselves while caring for their children.
By bridging the gap between professional intervention and daily life, the Free Parents Training initiative ensures that when parents are empowered, children thrive.
#Ride4Autism Initiative
The #Ride4Autism Initiative is an African movement of awareness, inclusion, and support for the autism community, with Lagos, Nigeria as its home base. Every year, on Saturdays after World Autism Day, riders gather in different locations across Nigeria to cycle for a cause that gives hope and visibility to children and families living with autism. Each ride symbolises resilience, strength, and the collective commitment to create a world where autistic children and their families are seen, understood, and supported.
Through #Ride4Autism, we raise awareness about autism and challenge the stigma that still lingers in many of our societies. We promote acceptance by educating communities and encouraging inclusion, while also supporting families by directing resources and attention to the services that help children thrive.
From the cities in Nigeria to the international Lagos–Accra–Lagos ride, the initiative carries the same message: every kilometre cycled is a step toward a more inclusive Africa for autistic individuals.
